Vegetarian Diet Plan : Is IT Good For Us?

The term “vegetarian” is described as a diet that emphasizes the intake of plant foods, discourage the consumption of animal foods and avoid the animal products. Today, vegetarian diet has gained popularity all over the world. It has been proven that a vegetarian diet is always a key to fit and healthy life.

Vegetarian diets play an important role in removing various health disorders such as malnutrition, indigestion, uncomfortable constipation, anemia, etc. Eating meat could cause an impact to the climatic change such as global warming, green house effect, etc. thus it indirectly puts pressure on the resources available in the world. A proper vegetarian food provides not only physical health but also helps to maintain the fitness and top physique.

Advantages:

  • Vegetarian Diet has low content of caloric that helps to maintain Obesity.
  • It has generally low fats. Due to this, the vegetarians have lower cholesterol levels, which help to reduce the risk of breast cancer, colon cancer and heart diseases.
  • It has high content of fiber, which leads to decrease the risks of colon diseases, appendicitis, hiatus hernia, piles and varicose veins.
  • Normally, a vegetarian could live 4 to10 years more than non -vegetarian.
  • Vegetarians have higher endurance thus they can enjoy higher endurance strengths than meat eaters.
  • This food is easily digested by old people.
  • Vegetarian foods are cheaper than non-vegetarian.
  • It can be eaten raw also thus controls the nutrient’s loss while cooking.

The incidence of Heart disease, high BP, High Cholesterol level and Obesity is common for non-vegetarians than Vegetarian. Vegetarian foods are also rich high in fiber and easy digestible.

A proper vegetarian diet should include:

  • Grains and cereals
  • Fruit and vegetables
  • Legumes, nuts and seeds
  • Dairy or soya products

A vegetarian diet is favored on account of its various benefits. Even meat eaters finding this diet better substitute of meat. Thus, it is very essential for everyone to take a well balanced diet filled with fats, proteins, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins.
