It is normal to say that babies cry and they do it often along the day. But when babies frequently cry without any known reasons and also in the absence of toiletry problems then it suggests it may be having some other problems. For many, the term ‘colic’ means a blanket used for handling babies. But colic is generally associated with babies below the age of one. Frequent crying of babies may be caused due to colic that means it is suffering from baby acid refluxes. Identifying the problem of your baby’s crying means that you are on your way of curing it.
Babies have their own special diets that are expected to get easily digested. Primarily babies below the age of one are only breastfed or bottle fed. Bottle feds are based on several formulas. These formulas may cause your babies suffer from colic relating to acid refluxes. On the other hand, babies who are mostly breastfed tend to have less chances of suffering from colic. Breast milks are considered the best diet for babies and being all-natural they rarely cause any problems. However, colic can strike in both cases and hence demands proper attention of parents. Just consider how your baby reacts after being fed.
The problem of baby acid refluxes is common in premature babies. This is mainly due to the fact that they have too short esophagus. It needs to grow to a proper length for facilitating normal digestions. This may cause your premature baby to suffer baby acid refluxes even after feeding your child with breast milk. Thus, parents having premature babies need to breast feed their babies through gavages or tubes.
Simple medicines can help your baby overcome acid refluxes. Most mothers do like medicating their babies but doing so can often provide a lot of help to them and their babies. Child specialist doctors can provide specific help regarding when to start and stop medications. Many times premature babies grow out of baby acid refluxes as their esophagus grows to a natural extent. Also, the same can occur with full term babies as these babies can too develop digestive problems due to immature digestive systems.
There are certain other ways through which parents can prevent their babies from developing baby acid refluxes. For instance, holding your baby from head in an elevated position just after feeding them will help the milk accumulate properly in their stomach. Similarly, helping your babies lay on their sides also helps easy digestion. Additionally, there are several other herbal medications that help them in properly digesting their diets. Herbal medications such as fennel and catnips promote healthy digestion. However, you should remember to consult your doctor while treating baby acid refluxes to avoid any other health complications.
