Natural Remedies for Treating Toothaches

Most people suffer toothaches a little more than others. Sometimes these pains are so severe that people find it difficult to continue on with their daily tasks. A person suffering from toothache normally reaches out for a dentist. There are still many others who are uninsured but are relieved by treating their toothache problems through natural remedies. These home or natural remedies provide a great help even before one reaches out for a dentist.

Onions provide a great way to treat toothaches. Researches have proved that onions have an anti-bacterial benefits. For the remedy, simply place a piece of raw onion over tooth that is causing pain. This remedy provides relief within minutes. With onions having such anti-bacterial benefits, consuming some amount of raw onion daily help fight tooth germs and reduce the risk of tooth complications, such as cavity.

Along with onions, garlic is also known for its similar anti-bacterial benefits. Place a piece of garlic over the tooth causing pain and relief is also felt within minutes. The relief provided by garlic is believed to have a long lasting effect as compared to other remedies. Besides garlic, placing a clove over the pain causing tooth also provides great relieves and lessens the chances of infection too.

Pepper also provides good relieves from toothaches caused due to cavity. Placing a small amount of pepper over the cavity provides great relieves. Many recommend preparing a mixture of pepper and salt that not only relives toothaches caused due to cavities but also relieves from bad breadth and gum problems, such as infected or soft gums.

Besides these remedies, there are certain measures that should be taken to prevent further tooth complications. A medical check is advised once per year. The number of visits must be doubled for those with known tooth problems. As a preventive measure, one must try to avoid or limit the consumption of sugar food items. However if you consume these then a quick brushing of teeth is strongly recommended. This will limit the chances of developing a cavity and other tooth problems.

Foods that are rich in calcium and vitamin C are well known for preventing many dental problems. Even calcium rich dairy products also help fight tooth decays. Similarly lime is also highly recommended for maintaining a healthy dental state.  All these foods help treat loose tooth, gun diseases and cavities. Parents of small children should encourage their children to eat calcium and vitamin C rich foods products to avoid future dental complications and promote healthy dental state.

With the availability of so many home remedies it is important for an individual to take the necessary measures for ensuring complication free tooth. Never forget to visit a dentist once per year and strongly follow the rules suggested by your dentist. Long term complications must never be ignored and should be immediately consulted with a good dentist. All these checksums will ensure a healthy and long lasting dental state.
