It is also advisable to apply a burn mask made from mashing two to three strawberries with sour cream just after shaving. Application of this mask two times in a week subsidizes the discomfort caused by the burn.

Herbs like Aloe vera, Witch hazel and sometimes mild salicylic acid also provides relief from the aftereffects of razor burns. Although diet plays a little role in controlling the discomforting situation, but it is sensible to eats food products rich in Vitamin C. Vitamin C plays a vital role in reinstate the skin condition quickly.

It is also a wise practice to wash the face with warm water before shaving. This facilitates the softening of skin and hair. It is also essential to apply shaving cream in the opposite direction of growth of hair. This helps in moisturizing the skin and hair prior to shaving.
