How to Treat Gingivitis Naturally At Home?

The warm and at the same time the moist part, highly susceptible to the growth of bacteria is Mouth. It also facilitates the growth of the same since food in all the forms enters at a regular interval. The root cause of gingivitis is this.
Gingivitis is a state where infection occurs in one’s teeth due to bad oral hygiene and development of bacteria. Accumulation of these bacteria on the teeth is the root cause of this disease. It initially affects the gums and teeth but in the later stages affect the immune system.
There are other reasons which also facilitate this disease such as nutritional disorders, hormonal changes in women during pregnancy, unsuitable medication.
Home based natural remedies:-
Maintaining a healthy oral hygiene is a must for avoiding any chances of getting gingivitis. Simple routine works like brushing the teeth and gum twice a day after meals does not allow the plaque to get accumulated into the teeth, which also avoid the chances of getting gingivitis.
Gargle the mouth with saline solution is an ideal way of getting relief from pain caused due to the disease. It also reduces the swelling in and around the gums. Using a little bit of clove oil while rubbing the gums reduces the affects of the disease.
In the absence of clove oil, chewing the clove gently so that the juice extract is spread though-out the mouth, reduces the pain and swelling in the gums. Avoid fatty foods or take intake of only low saturate fat content foods.
Low saturated fat content foods help in reducing the swelling of gums. Other natural remedy that helps in treating gingivitis efficiently is consuming food material rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin D.
Stress reduction highly facilitates in reducing the gum disorders. It is a known fact that stress increases plaque accumulation.
Brushing the teeth twice a day with tea tree oil significantly reduces the degree of gingivitis and bleeding. It however fails to reduce the amount of plaque.
Bacteria can be prevented from sticking to the teeth with the help of Cranberry. Cranberry juice with the absence of added sugar basically facilitates the same within the mouth.
Other herbs like white oak bark, peppermint leaves in a powdered form, myrrh gum, anise helps in reducing the potential harmful effects of the gingivitis disease.
