How to get rid of Plantar Fasciitis by home based remedial practices?

The health disorder in which a person feels severe pain in the foot due to the inflammation of fibrous, long, broad band of tissues stretching from bone of heel to the fore foot is termed as Plantar fasciitis. It mostly affects people suffering from diabetes and obesity as well as woman who are pregnant. It sometimes causes rapid weight gain along with tearing of the tissues at the joint of plantar fascia and heel bone.

It is thus advisable to avoid poorly cushioned shoes and high heeled shoes. These shoes causes structural imbalance of the foot and thus contributes to the growth of this disorder.

Application of ice packs covered on linen to the bottom surface of the foot which is aching helps not only in relaxing the torn up tissues but also helps in triggering a speedy recovery from the discomfort.

Mild exercises especially stretching and some of the yoga asanas which focuses on strengthening the muscular strength of foot are considered a better option to subsidize the symptoms of the disease. It is sensible to stretch the calf muscles just before getting out of bed in the morning.

Nutritional deficiencies slow down the speed of recovery process. That is why it is of utmost importance to eat nutritious diet especially those food materials which are rich in minerals like calcium and phosphorous.

 During the incubation of the inflammation it is necessary and fruitful to avoid carrying out heavy activities like sprinting. These exercise acts as the enhancer of the discomfort caused by the plantar fasciitis.

 It is also sensible to take a long break from strenuous activities and give foot the requisite amount of rest. Taking rest for a few days or so facilitates elimination of the pain and also helps in bringing down the rate of inflammation caused by this health disorder.
