How Can You Cure Mild Frostbite?

Frostbite causes when your skin or anybody’s extremities (usually nose, feet, and hands) has been uncovered in the chilly temperatures for a long period. If your skin is numb, pale, or cold so, these are the severe symptoms of frostbite.

Symptoms of Mild Frostbite:

There are following symptoms and signs of frostbite:

  • Prickling or pin sensation.  
  • Cold, hard, and pale skin in waxy appearance.
  • Swelling and burning sensation from the collection of fluid.  
  • Discomfort blisters.
  • Numbness.
  • Memory loss.
  • Black scab-like skin that may increase some weeks after its exposure.
  • Slurred speach
  • Shivering

Causes of Mild Frostbite:

There are many causes to increase the chance for frostbite: old & young age, excess intake of alcohol, cardiovascular disorder, poor circulation, peripheral vascular disease, diabetes, taking beta blockers, dehydration, malnutrition, hunger, exhaustion, outdoor working, wet & windy weather, excess smoking, severe injury, and homelessness.

Home Remedies of Mild Frostbite:

  • Take one tbsp of sage in one glass of boil water for 5 minutes and take it. This Sage tea will assist to increase your circulation.
  • Add mullein flowers into the olive oil just for 15 minutes and use to a frostbitten region.
  • Witch hazel pours on the frostbitten zones.
  • Take olive oil and mildly rub it on your frostbitten skin or use this with a brush of kitchen pastry.
  • Take an Aloe Vera gel or Aloe Vera leave; mildly use it on the frostbitten zone.
  • Put a cover on your frostbitten region with the inner part of the banana peel.
  • Take a mash and boil potatoes mix salt in it and use this decoction to the frostbitten zones. You also eat these potatoes and use the lukewarm water (in which potatoes were boiled) on the frostbitten zones.
  • Use chill water to the soaks frostbitten regions. If your hands are already frostbitten, apply this but do not go in heat directly.
