- Keep you feet dry and the talk can help you to keep that sweat off your feet. You can also consider drying your feet with hair dryer but it should be set on low.
- Give a good scrubbing to the areas between your toes with the clean water. It will wash away athlete’s foot causing pests.
- Don’t ever use harsh soaps and deodorant soaps should be avoided altogether.
- You can also go for topical anti-fungal creams like clotrimazole or miconazole which should be applied twice or thrice a day and reapplied after a shower and once again when you move to bed at night.
- Wiping the hard areas of your feet and between your toes with astringent sprinkled on gauze is also a good idea to get rid of the fungi. Put then the gauze on these areas for just some minutes so that more moisture can be drawn from the foot.
- If during your sleep your feet perspire profusely, you are better off placing cotton balls between your toes.
- In case you have to wear shoes for a longer period of time, it’s always good to sprinkle into your shoes an anti-fungal powder that contains clotrimazole or miconazole.
- Don’t let your problem take the better of you by slipping, just go buy wear a no-skid pair of footwear.
- Roam barefoot when you are in the acute phase of this condition.
See your doctor if you are not able to solve the problem on your own anymore. Your doctor must certainly have more effective therapies for persistent athlete’s foot.
