Home Remedies to Treat Fever Blister Quickly And Effectively

Fever blister mainly occurs due to viral infection which reduces the body immune system. It gets transmitted from one person to other through skin infection or saliva. It is also called as herpes labialis or cold sore. It is caused mainly due to simplex virus type 1 or (HSV-1) that causes ulcers and palate in the mouth.

It is believed by many people that home remedy proves very beneficial for reducing the outbreak of pain and reducing its symptoms. Fever blisters are mainly located on face, mouth and lips which are caused due to contagious herpes type called as virus1. It is marked with the onset of itching, tingling and soreness which results in redness and sore blisters.

It is a contagious disease; so, it is important that it should not spread to your other body parts and other persons. For this, it is very necessary to take proper hygiene to avoid this disease.  If possible, consult a health professional before going for home remedy.

Here are some of the home remedies for fever blister:

-      Herbal Sage, sedative violet and the Tea Oil are used for the treatments of cold sore.

-      Sometimes, Petroleum jelly is also applied on fever blister to soften and moisturize this fever blister which helps in preventing them from bleeding and cracking.

-      Lemon balm consists of tannins, which acts like astringent and antiviral. It also helps in reducing the symptoms and increasing the process of healing.

-      Olive oil and tea tree oil should be applied equally on the infected area for 2 to 3 times in a day since Tea tree oil behaves like an antiseptic.

-      Echinacea is an effective antiviral which is considered to be very useful for the treatment of fever blister.

Fever blisters generally get repaired within 2 weeks because these home remedies speed up the healing process and help stop the disease before it builds up in your immune system.

These fever blisters are not life threatening but it is necessary to develop proper medication for the disease. You can apply herbal treatments and home remedy after a consultation with your doctor.
