It has been known through years that a well – balanced diet help us in keeping our body healthy and is important for good health and performance. Similarly, a healthy hair requires a healthy diet. Our hair is a mixture of vitamins, proteins, minerals, complex carbohydrates and iron which are all responsible for our hair to remain strong and healthy.

Hair follicles may have low levels of energy just like us. Hence it is necessary for us to eat high protein breakfast at the beginning of each day. Consider the given food choices to give your hair a healthier growth and thrive.

People with low cholesterol should try to eat red-meat at least twice a week. It not only provides protein but also vitamin B, zinc and iron that are all required for healthy growth of hair. Bacon is also a good choice that is full of protein, zinc and vitamin B. But it also contains high calories which may not be good for those willing to loose weight.

Also, eggs and egg-whites are an excellent source of protein. These provide a good option for vegetarians and those who cannot eat red-meat or bacon due to dietary restrictions. Salmon provides yet another good source of protein and consumed in breakfast, lunch or dinner. Salmons are also great source of certain other vitamins and minerals including vitamin B and B12.

Healthy hair requires enough protein which forms the building blocks of your hair. Complex carbohydrates then help in accumulating the protein for your hair’s growth. Among other vitamins and minerals includes B complex, folic acid, B 12 and zinc. Vitamin B complex energizes the production and growth of healthy hair and related skin issues.

Make sure to add complex carbohydrates to your protein source meals which suffice your energy requirements for longer periods than refined carbohydrates. Brown short-grain rice is an ideal source for complex carbohydrates that also includes some fiber and vitamin B. Additionally, whole grain food choices support your protein consumptions by organizing them for being used by your hair for healthy growing.
