People often get confused it with sadness. Ignoring it for a long time may get you harmful results. Sometimes it may end up in a mental breakdown or even in a suicide. So you should handle depression as early as possible so that it won’t worsen.</p>
<p>Dealing with depression demands lots of determination and will power. You need to be hopeful and positive about the coming timed and a better life ahead. You have to be determined to make a change in your present life. In the beginning, always set small goals to achieve. Target one task at a time because this approach makes you take small steps and achieving it gives you an excellent feeling. Setting small goals and achieving them also boost your self-confidence. <li>Exercise or a long walk benefits one a lot in depression. Yoga and some breathing exercises can do wonders. Try some mind relaxation techniques like meditation, it will help you to get rid of your stress and feel inner peace.</li>
<li>Never sit quietly because empty mind can pull your thought towards depression. So keep your mind busy in some stress buster and fun activity like listening to music, writing your feelings, reading a motivational book or helping others in some way can give you some happiness.</li>
</ul>
<p>Last thing to sort out this problem is to find the cause of your depression and try to solve it courageously whatever it is. Confronting a problem is the best way to deal with it rather than ignoring or running away from it. There is no any problem in the world which can’t be solved.</p>

<p>On the basis of its severity, depression is divided into three types called as dysthymia, bipolar disorder and unipolar disorder which is commonly found in a person behavior. But once you overcome this depression it accelerates your energy level and provides you good feeling to see the outer world.</p>
<p>There are various reasons of this depression like financial problems, family problems, heredity, health problems like diabetes or drug abuse which can easily trigger this disorder. But sometimes our diet also affects mood which creates problem in leading a healthy life.  Lack of vitamins and minerals can also cause depression. People use various antidepressants to relax their mood swings. Many food constituents can also relieve depression like carbohydrates and serotonin levels in the body.</p>

Many experts consider that depression is related to poor self esteem. This may be truth to some extent but is not applicable in all the cases as everyone responds to it in a different way.</p>
<p>People who have low self esteem feel shy and want to keep themselves away from social gatherings and public events which may be one of the causes of depression. However, this data shows that there are a lot of correlation between depression and low self esteem. Such individuals do not think very high about themselves so feel very low. This can occur due to tremendous pressure from your workplace and your upbringing.</p>
<p>Another reason why people have low self esteem is that they develop a bad image of themselves with results in low self esteem and sometimes it starts from their childhood as a kid and as they grow up, it only gets worsened. Some people drag themselves out of this while some become very reclusive and end up with either suffering from Social Anxiety Disorder or depression.<br />

People with low self esteem actually get into relationships to destroy themselves. However, sometimes the other person may genuinely and actually care for this person but because they suffer from very low esteem, they don’t want to be with anyone else so they start sabotaging their relationship or they leave the person who cares for them. Basically, they reinforce what they believe to be true.</p>
<p>It is also possible that these kinds of behavior in a person occur due to some disaster during the childhood period which may have affected the perfectly normal life of the person but in healthy adults sometimes it occurs due to wrong actions of others which disturb his life and they start doubting themselves. When under doubt, they ask different questions to themselves like who they are and if they are good enough and if they have any importance in the world. Once they start thinking this way it may result in too many devastating effects in their life and thus anxiety, doubt, and depression sets in their mind.</p>
<p>As there is a close connection between self esteem and depression, doctors provide common treatment for both the problems. So, if you are experiencing the same situation, definitely visit a doctor.</p>

You should only think of the happy times which can make you happy because thinking of the bad times will make you sad and depressed.
