Brovana Side Effects : Precautions Associated with the Treatment of Lung Problems
Brovana is generally used during long term treatments of lung issues that associate with obstructive pulmonary disease including emphysema & chronic bronchitis. The normal recommended dose of Brovana is 15 milligrams of drug twice a day and is taken through a nebulizer. Its doses should never be more than what is prescribed as that can result in certain overdosing side effects that must be immediately consulted with the doctor. Common side effects include headache, dry mouth, dizziness, nervousness, fatigue, irregular heartbeat, nausea, muscle cramps, tremors and insomnia.
There are certain precautions that require due considerations while being treated with this drug. Never combine or mix this drug with other laxatives which could either result in side effects or could actually worsen the ongoing condition. Especially, while using this drug it is very essential to avoid treating with beta-blockers and tricyclic antidepressants. Similarly, it is necessary to inform your doctor about all the prescription, OTC and herbal medications and supplements that you may be consuming. Also discuss your medical history in detail with the doctor for avoiding future complications.
This drug is also avoided if the patient is allergic to Brovana or any of its ingredients. The side effects of Brovana are unanticipated and upon any change or developing any intensity should be immediately consulted with the doctor. The common side effects include flu like syndromes, diarrhea, chest pain, back-pain, general pain, breathing issues, sinus infection, rashes and leg cramps. Under many conditions, this may also increase the risks of asthma related deaths. It is primarily used in long term treatments and not for rescuing asthma attacks.
The effects of Brovana haven’t been adequately studied during the conditions of pregnancy or breastfeeding. But these conditions need due consideration for avoiding complications while being pregnant or nursing an infant. Therefore, it is very important to consult your doctor before being prescribed for the same.
The general recommendations for storing Brovana drugs include keeping it in refrigerator and away from direct exposure to heat & light.
