Three Benefits of Home Tanning Beds

Tanning is an act of darkening the skin. It is mainly done for cosmetic reasons, but some people do it for health reasons. Tanning is more common to Caucasians as it is viewed by many that darker skin signifies beauty. This fad started in the 1920s when Coco Chanel accidentally obtained sunburns during a vacation. Exposure to sun has been proven to produce Vitamin D in people. Some people who have ricket disease or Vitamin d deficiency expose themselves to the sun, therefore acquiring tan in the process.

Tanning is usually by exposing one’s self to the sun. This is usually done along beaches. However, artificial tanning has made it more convenient for people to tan themselves without the hassle of going outdoors. This is done through the use of tanning beds which are often found in beauty salons and spas. This device emits ultraviolet radiation in a spectrum similar to that of the sun.

Due to the advent of sanitary concerns, home tanning beds were introduced. In addition to avoiding health issues that may arise, home tanning beds also promote convenience for consumers.

People who regularly tan themselves can expect these three benefits from home tanning beds:

Privacy – One annoying factor in salons is the number of people going in and out. Some salons even put multiple beds in one room so privacy is very limited. Having a home tanning bed can definitely avoid these nuisances. Tanning will become a very easy procedure done right at the comfort of one’s home. Spread of diseases and conditions brought about by virus and bacteria is also prevalent in tanning salons. Most of these salons do not offer insurance in case a disease is contracted because of using their tanning bed. Home tanning beds has taken that burden off of tan-loving people.

Convenience – Tanning beds are supposed to give people perfect tans while not going outdoors, but going to salons is still going outdoors. Now, home tanning beds are perfect for people who just want to lay and rest while getting a tan while avoiding the hassle of driving to another location. Having these beds also takes someone away from long queues in salons that can last for hours.

Lifelong savings – It has been calculated and proven that having tanning beds at home can bring more savings to tanners than by regularly visiting a salon. Aside from the ability to use your own bed right away without having to worry about shedding cash everytime you want to use one, years worth of visiting a salon has been found out to be more expensive that the upfront cost of home tanning beds.
